Ba, Coleman Receive President’s Eagle Awards at CSU's Annual ESPY Awards
BALTIMORE – Track & Field's Amadou Ba and volleyball's Miajavon Coleman received the President's Eagle Awards as Coppin State University Athletic Department held its annual Eagles ESPY Awards on Wednesday night at James Weldon Johnson Auditorium.  Sam Sessoms from men's basketball and volleyball's Andrea Tsvetanova received CSU's Male and Female Athlete of the Year Awards, respectively.

Andrea Tsvetanova Named to VolleyballMag.com All-America Team
BALTIMORE – Coppin State's Andrea Tsvetanova has been named to the VolleyballMag.com All-America Team, it was announced by the publication late last week.  Tsvetanova is the second Eagles player in as many years to earn All-America accolades from the magazine (Miajavon Coleman) and joins Howard's Rya McKinnon as the only MEAC players on the All-America Team.

Volleyball’s Finest Season Ends in Heartbreaker at Wake Forest in NIVC
WINSTON SALEM, N.C. – Coppin State's volleyball team's season came to an end with a 3-2 (25-23, 22-25, 22-25, 25-17, 21-19) loss in the first round of the National Invitational Volleyball Championship at Wake Forest on Friday night at Reynolds Gymnasium.  The Eagles finish their best season in program-history with a 23-11 record.

Volleyball Draws Wake Forest in First Round of NIVC
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Coppin State's volleyball team drew Wake Forest in the First Round of the National Invitational Volleyball Championship, it was announced by Triple Crown Sports on Sunday evening. The Eagles earned their first-ever postseason bid by earning the MEAC's automatic berth by winning the league's regular season title.

Volleyball Trio Named to CSC Academic All-District Team
GREENWOOD, Ind. – Coppin State's Miajavon Coleman, Ashley Roman and Ahzhi Coleman have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team ®, it was announced by the organization on Tuesday.  This is the first time that all three athletes have been recognized by the CSC, formerly known as CoSIDA, and they are the only players in the MEAC to receive the award.

Volleyball Falls at Delaware State in MEAC Championship Match
DOVER, Del. – Coppin State's volleyball team's bid at a MEAC Championship fell just short in a 3-1 loss at Delaware State's Memorial Hall on Sunday night.  The Eagles now stand at 23-10 overall and await a possible postseason bid. Following the Tournament, Andrea Tsvetanova and Ammaarah Williams were named to the All-Tournament Team.

Tsvetanova Ties NCAA Mark as Volleyball Sweeps South Carolina State in MEAC Quarterfinals
DOVER, Del., Nov. 18, 2022 – The top seeded Coppin State volleyball team made quick work of South Carolina State in Friday's quarterfinal round of the 2022 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Volleyball Championship, winning 3-0 (25-7, 25-10, 25-15) in Delaware State's Memorial Hall Gym.

Roman, Tsvetanova, Walsh Take Home Major MEAC Volleyball Postseason Honors
NORFOLK, Va. – Coppin State's Ashley Roman won her third-straight MEAC Defensive Player of the Year award while Tim Walsh was named MEAC Coach of the Year for the second time in the last three seasons, it was announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.  Additionally, Andrea Tsvetanova shared Setter of the Year accolades with Howard's Kayla Diaz.

Volleyball Clinches Regular Season Title with Sweep at Morgan State
BALTIMORE – Ammaarah Williams slammed a match-high ten kills to lead the Coppin State volleyball team to a 3-0 (25-23, 25-23, 25-23) sweep at Morgan State on Friday night, clinching its second MEAC Regular Season Title in the last three seasons. The Eagles now stand at 21-9 overall and 12-2 in league play.
