Tennis Honored by ITA for Academic Success; Receives USTA David Dinkins HBCU Coaching Grant
TEMPE, Ariz. – Coppin State's men's and women's teams were both named 2022 Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division I All-Academic Teams, it was announced by the ITA on Monday afternoon.  To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, the program must have at least a 3.2 team grade point average for the academic year.

Manu, Coleman Receive President’s Eagle Awards to Headline 2022 Eagle ESPY Awards
BALTIMORE – Track & Field's Joseph Manu and volleyball's Miajavon Coleman received the President's Eagle Awards as Coppin State University Athletic Department held its annual Eagles ESPY Awards on Monday night at James Weldon Auditorium.  Nendah Tarke and Jaia Alexander received CSU's Male and Female Athlete of the Year Awards, respectively.

Jankovic Leads Match at No. 1 Singles as Women’s Tennis Falls to Morgan State in MEAC Tournament
CARY, N.C. – Coppin State's women's tennis team's season came to an end with a 4-0 loss to Morgan State in the MEAC Tournament on Thursday morning at Cary Tennis Center.  The Eagles finish the campaign at 1-18 overall.

Women’s Tennis’ Jankovic Named Second Team All-MEAC
NORFOLK, Va. - Coppin State's Iva Jankovic received MEAC Second Team All-Conference honors for Women's Tennis, it was announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.  Voting for the awards was done by the league's head coaches and sports information directors.

BALTIMORE, MD- Despite rain showers and heavy winds, women's tennis notched a pair of wins in singles play in a loss to Loyola Maryland 5-2 for their closing game of the season on Thursday, April 21 for an overall record of 1-14.

Women’s Tennis Won Their First Match of the Season in a 7-0 Sweep Against Hartford CC
BEL AIR, MD-Women's Tennis Grabbed Their First Victory of the Season in a 7-0 Domination Over Hartford CC this Tuesday April 19th.  The Eagles left the Fighting Owls winless in all sets, while leaving them scoreless in three matches.

Baltimore, MD- With long rallies played and a win at first doubles and first singles, the Eagles dropped to Morgan 4-1 on Saturday, April16 in the final home match of the season.

Women’s Tennis Dominated Doubles Play in a Loss to St. Joseph’s
Philadelphia, PA.- Coppin State's women's tennis team crushed it in doubles play outscorring  St. Josephs winning 14 games to the Hawks 10 in doubles matches. Despite a singles victory for Megan Etienne, the Eagles were overpowered in singles matches for a 5-2 loss on Monday.

Close Singles Matches Resulted in a Women's Loss to Towson
Towson, MD: Women's tennis dropped to Towson last Sunday with a score of 4-0. Towson advances to 4-9 for the season, while the Eagles remain on a hunt for their first win of the season.

Jankovic grabs win, Women's Tennis falls to Howard
Coppin Women's Tennis lost to Howard 6-1 on Friday, April 1st at the Banneker Recreation Center.  Howard is now 7-3 overall (4-0 MEAC) white Coppin drops to 0-5 in conference play.
