BALTIMORE – Coppin State women's basketball head coach Jermaine Woods announced today that Keyana Brown has been added to the Eagles' staff as an assistant coach.

BALTIMORE – Jermaine Woods has been promoted to head coach of the Coppin State University women's basketball program, after two seasons as the team's Associate Head Coach. Woods' promotion was announced by Director of Athletics, Derek Carter, on Thursday afternoon.

BALTIMORE – Track & Field's Joseph Manu and volleyball's Miajavon Coleman received the President's Eagle Awards as Coppin State University Athletic Department held its annual Eagles ESPY Awards on Monday night at James Weldon Auditorium.  Nendah Tarke and Jaia Alexander received CSU's Male and Female Athlete of the Year Awards, respectively.

BALTIMORE – Laura Harper, who guided Coppin State's women's basketball team to one of the largest turnarounds in the Nation this past season and was named the 2022 MEAC Coach of the Year, has accepted the head coaching position at Towson University. Associate head coach Jermaine Woods will now be handling all day-to-day operations.

NORFOLK, Va. – Jaia Alexander led all players with 33 points but it was not enough as the Coppin State women's basketball team fell in the MEAC Quarterfinals to Maryland Eastern Shore, 73-65, on Thursday afternoon at Scope Arena.  The Eagles close the season with a 15-13 overall record, marking one of the largest turnarounds in the Nation.

Baltimore, MD – Coppin State's women's basketball team will head to Norfolk, Va., for the MEAC Tournament and will face University of Maryland Eastern Shore in the Quarterfinals for a noon tip off on March 10.  Fans can watch the game on ESPN plus. The winner of this matchup will face the winner of No. 1 Howard and No. 8 Delaware State.

NORFOLK, Va. – Coppin State's Jaia Alexander was named the MEAC Women's Basketball Player of the Year while head coach Laura Harper was named the MEAC Coach of the Year, it was announced by the league office on Friday afternoon.  Voting for the awards was done by the league's head coaches and sports information directors.

BALTIMORE – A furious comeback by the Coppin State's women's basketball team came up just short in a 53-47 loss to Morgan State on Thursday night at PEC Arena.  The Eagles close out the regular season with a 15-12 overall record along with a 9-5 mark in the MEAC while the Bears move to 17-7 overall and 11-3 in league play.

NORFOLK, Va. – Coppin State's Jewel Watkins has been named the MEAC Women's Basketball Co-Rookie of the Week, it was announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon. This is the second time this season that Watkins has received the honor.

BALTIMORE – Coppin State's Mossi Staples erupted for 18 points in the second half to lead the Eagles to a 67-55 victory over Delaware State on Monday night at PEC Arena.  With the victory, Coppin now stands at 15-11 overall with a 9-4 mark in the MEAC.
