Counseling for Substance Abuse

This course introduces the graduate student to the maladaptive behavior of the drub abuser. The historical perspective of changing attitudes toward the drug abuser and treatment of the disorder are considered. Techniques of diagnosis, classification, and rehabilitation are studied with attention focused upon local resources for assistance to the individual with drug abuse problems.
